Andy Tompkins was a London session electric and acoustic guitarist in the 1970’s and worked on many film and cartoon scores including the cult movie, “The Wicker Man”, the soundtrack of which was released by Silva Screen Records in 2002. He worked in the “pit” for numerous West End productions and toured extensively in Britain and Europe as guitarist for the critically-acclaimed “Red Buddha Theatre” working with many notable musicians such as Stomu Yamashta, Joji Hirota, Peter Brewis and Ric Sanders who, of course, is now with Fairport Convention.
Andy is a musicians’ musician and has lived in East Yorkshire for the last 18 years where he continues to write and record music in his recording studio.

Sounds Like: The following was taken from a purchaser's iTunes review of "Making Tracks"

For those who like the sound of a PRS or a Martin played with maturity and feeling, then try ‘Making Tracks' by Andy Tompkins. All the influences are there from McLaughlin through to Carlton. Beck to Fripp, Scofield to Burrell. But in the end to any one who knows his music his style is distinctively his own.
