The South Beach Shutdown series was inaugrated in 2006 during the Miami Carnival Weekend. This series was created to bring a different party flavor to the annual Carnival festivities. We also wanted to induce a more diverse party environment, rather than the carnival-styled parties that usually take place in South beach during Colombus Weekend. Under the guidance of some of New York's most prominent promoters, the first event took place October 6, 2006 @ Sobe Live Nightclub in the heart of South Beach. This event featured performances and was hosted by upcoming stars such as Ding Dong, Fats, and Geronimo Chief. Patrons were also given a musical workout provided by anassortment of the must elite DJ's worldwide. The success of SB Shutdown however would not have been possible without the 1200 patrons that came to party and have a wonderful time. In 2007, we went back to the venue that started it all, Sobe Live. We had even more energy and several of surprises. Elephant Man, Beniton Da Menace & Peter Ram musicaly entertained over 4500 patrons in 2007. EXPECT BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS FOR 2008. The same hard working promoters from prior years will add pages to the history book; instead of repeating it.
