I'm an avid photographer who loves to spend time traveling the globe finding all the best spots to surf. If your idea of traveling is simply doing a weekend bender in Vegas, or a week at an all-inclusive in Mexico, that's not really traveling. During my travels throughout the US I found many people who haven't even stepped outside their own state let alone travel to Canada. When I'm not traveling, I can usually be found either in the studio doing photo shoots, out surfing in Tofino or Portland, or in the gym. While I may be no roid monkey I believe in keeping in shape.
When you think of photography, what comes to mind? For some of us we think of those long lost moments that were captured on film and then put on a slide for us to watch with the family as it was being projected against a wall. Or maybe it's those polaroids that you found stored away in a shoe box? Now a days slides have gone digital and people are sending us slideshows via a URL. The first introduction to photography for many people will be in the form of purchasing a digital point & click camera. My first introduction was through a 35mm Yashika SLR. During my time in high school I began to truly appreciate photography for the art. Years after high school I got back into photography as I found that digital SLRs were finally coming down in price, and the cost of getting film developed was just ridiculous. Currently work with an all-Canon setup. Areas of interest are that of glamour/creative, street, and b&w photography. Currently working on several photography projects and have had the pleasure of working with models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and stylists throughtout Vancouver. Being that I do this on the side, I've not had as much time to post my work. From time to time I will post some work here in my Pics section. Currently working on a project for Paris this month, and will be flying out to LA and NYC to collaborate with other models & photogrpahers. I work with an amazing crew of people here in Vancouver: Sonia Resendes, Johnnie Catanyag, and Carrie Dallas. However, I'm always looking to expand my network, that of which includes makeup artists, stylists, hairstylists, models, and fellow photographers. On the subject of TFP and TFCD, I will only be taking on limited projects. If you wish to do a TFP or TFCD project, please feel free to contact me, and we'll see what possibilities are available. At this time I am only doing PAID gigs
In 2006, outside of my surfing trips, I was lucky enough to travel to Japan and also spend time in Hawaii. What can one say about Japan that hasn't already been said? The culture is amazing, the nightlife outstanding, and experiencing true Japanese food. No, you can't order dynamite rolls in an izakaya in Japan. Trust me, I tried. The clubbing experience is wide and vast with a huge array of music, and the admission prices reminded me of Vegas. Last but not least, the transportation system in Japan is definitely something to experience, when you compare it to the likes of ours here in Vancouver. Ever been to a Japanese onsen ? Did that too, it's a little different. In 2007, I'm off to Paris, LA, and NYC for photography, and general travel. I believe in seeing as much as the world as you can before it's too late.
