This is a part of a film put out by the Surf Company, Rip Curl. They used my song History as the opener to this film... It is called Master and apprentice's...it's real pretty to zone out too and watch. I started to surf this past summer with my friend from college at Rockaway Beach, long island style surfing if you live in the city. The waves do not look like these waves but it does the trick, and it is probably the only ones i'd attempt at this point. I am pretty horrible at it. I get up for about 8 seconds, i get real excited that i actually made it horizontal, at this point, around the seventh second or so, i check and see if anybody's watching me because in my head i'm a superstar tearing it up, and then i go downnnnnnn miserably. I'll keep you updated if i get any better. It's a mess. But thank you Rip Curl. Sincerely, i'm going to pretend with this one for awhile...
Get this video and more at MySpace.comMy friend Chris Jaymes and I, made this video about 3 years back now. We met in New York City, through my then bass player, at a bar on the lower east side - Max Fish. He was working on a film at the time "In memory of my Father" and i was working on my record. I thought he was pretty cool, i liked the film, and we got to be friends that summer. We had a lot of fun making this video, and talking about how the world spins.roadtrip nation 2006 promo

This show... highlights people that want to talk to people, and gets into how people get to where they are... De myst tif i Kay Shown.... and a little bit of COMUNE I KAY SHOWN.... How did you get into it Lance Armstrong, how did you get to be where you are Michael Dell... I like the way your hair looks "Roots lead singer Guy" I had a similar idea with my road bike when i got finished with grad school. i just didn't talk to too many people and didn't want anything to do with work. I'll re-phrase that - because it's a lot of work to ride a century in 100 degree's in august through montana. 4 gallons of water deep a day. We tried to ride across the country (got half way). me and my friend John. Got stuck in North Dakota (left from P-town, Oregon) and scrapped the idea when it got too hairy. A little off on the timing, left in July... too damn hot. We bought an old car, after considering an army jeep and gawking at a Delorian (couldn't talk him down to $800.00 bucks), we settled on an old mazda 323, went to a junk yard in South Dakota, got the nessesary everything there, and road it back east. Ok, and this is nothing like roadtrip nation, but maybe a good segway to something i guess.
