Until recently, nothing meant more to me than making music.
I co-own an independent record label in the Seattle area called Dep't of Records with 3 close friends.
D. of R. also has a subsidiary division called Mars Sound , which basically does all the things we do for our label, but for hire. Mars Sound is a complete production house, specializing in music production, with additional services in Graphic Design, Video Production, etc.
I'm also a (dime-a-dozen) guitarist in a semi-defunct Seattle-area band called Sunflower Sutra , which has been on hiatus for a year or two, but with plans to rebuild eventually. :-)

So, what is it that has been able to compete with my musical life for my attentions and affections? You only need to take a look at my photos to know: My beautiful and loving girlfriend Julie (who is also the sister of one of my business partners), and her wonderful baby girl Chloe. I'm head over heels for both of them, and love Chloe as though she were my own daughter. They, along with Julie's teenage daughter, have become a family to me, and I just finished helping them move from the Bay Area up here to the Seattle Area this past week (it's the end of August, '07 as I write this).

For nearly 12 years I was a pesco-vegetarian. I now once again eat an omnivorous diet. It took a while to get over the guilt that accompanied my return to eating meat, but my body thanks me for it.
