About Me

I grew up all over the US with my parents and two brothers. We finally landed in Cheney, WA in 1996 where I finished high school, went to college, got married, and had two babies. Now I am a stay-at-home mom, living my dream. I am also a part-time doula, which means I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Yay!

My Interests

Having babies, raising babies, wine tasting (you can drink at 10am and it's perfectly acceptable), and I'd like to get out there and travel again with my family someday. I also like to sing karaoke, especially with my brothers because we always laugh our entire asses off when we're together.

Music:

Prince (Best Live Show EVER!), The Who, Queen, Gwen Stefani, Bare Naked Ladies, The Mickie Slippers, Flight of the Conchords. I don't usually listen to CDs. I like to listen to the radio because then it's always a surprise as to what will come on. I am a radio station flipper though. I always think I'm missing something else that is on. It is quite OCD. I flip through just about every genre.

Movies:

I just saw Juno and that rocked. Mr Brooks was sweet. Meet the Robinsons was surprisingly awesome. I don't really like action flicks but I can watch just about anything else.

Television:

Flight of the Conchords, Grey's Anatomy, Dirt, The Riches, What Not to Wear, Scrubs, Arrested Development, Family Guy, Law and Order:SVU, The Office, Sex in the City, Studio 60, The Colbert Report, House of Babies and anything else on Discovery Health Channel.

Books:

I mostly read non-fiction. Religion, economics, history, but mostly about babies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and child development.

Heroes:

My folks. No matter what I do, they always support me. I hope I can do the same for my little ones. And my husband is my hero because he is supportive of every weird hobby I come up with.
