Dave Diamondand I formed the band Satya in the early 1990’s. We have been blessed to have had a fabulous array of stellar musicians make up Satya’s many incarnations. In the beginning Satya was mainly an acoustic band with a lineup of only vocals, acoustic guitar, bass and percussion. As the song-writing tended to be more aggressive, we started incorporating drums, electric guitar and keyboards. The incredible Chris Weigers ( Arusha )soon became the band’s steady bassist, lending his unique and identifiable style on fretless to the band’s evolving sound and the incomparable drummer Frank Belluccicame on board to create Satya’s core members. Other musicians who have graced our presence on stage or in the studio include multi-instrumentalists Jason Crosby(Robert Randolph, Susan Tedeschi) and Barry Hartglass , percussionists Ritchie Rodriguez (Clint Holmes), Steve Finkelstein ( The Funk Filharmonik ) andDavid Cossin ,
