Nikki

Oh Hai! My name is Nikki. I grew up and reside in the sonoran desert. I sun burn easily and I have a lot of freckles on my arms (ALOT!). I used to swim a lot and now I have an allergy to chlorine. It's not that bad though, and I can appreciate the irony, and I'm still in the water almost everyday (ASK ME ABOUT MY PRIVATE SWIM LESSON BUISNESS). I was raised catholic, but it didn’t really stick, maybe a little bit of kooky mysticism. I am more than slightly superstitious. I like to make art. I really like paper. I work in several different mediums, but mainly water color or ink. I don't really show my work much in the gallery setting, but if you know who I am then you will know where to find it. I make a living as a graphic designer - and have quite a knack for marketing. I also volunteer with Artlink in Phoenix designing all the maps. I have really good handwriting, and I think alot about typefaces and font treatments. I’ve been told I’m clever. My dad said something to me about having thick skin the other night, but I think he might have been drinking. I don’t have much tolerance for stupidity, but I can tolerate a lot of other behavior. I taught highschool for a semester. I like to learn. I am learning to play the guitar and to sew. I like school, but I can't afford to go anymore. The real world scares me, but I am getting better about blending in. I am still learning what makes me tic. I over analyze everything and interrupt people too much. I have a bajillion ideas and it frustrates me that I cannot bring all of them to fruition in this life time. I cannot do only one thing at a time. I am an exceptionally good multi-tasker. I have a very addictive personality and form habits quickly. I fall in love too fast. People fascinate and terrify me. I am a loyal friend. I forgive but I never forget. I am not perfect. Sometimes I make stupid mistakes, but I do my best to correct them. I have loved and lost. I am a bit of a social misfit. I speak my mind. I am very sensitive. I cry easily. I have a bit of a short temper. I should probably cuss a little less. I wish I had a little more patience. I don’t like putting numerical values on objects or people. I like numbers, and can do math pretty acurately in my head. I have a unique sense of humor. I laugh at my own jokes sometimes. I know quite a bit about computers. I don’t like driving. I wish there were an 8th day of the week. I am brutally honest and I sometimes unintentionally hurt people’s feelings. I suck at quitting smoking. I don’t believe in soul mates but I do believe in true love. I am always the first to apologize. I say “I’m sorry” like a reflex, but I always mean it.
