DJ E-RoC Has Seen The Ever-Changing Face Of Hip-Hop Music Throughout The Years. First Introduced To Hip Hop At The Young Age Of 8 yrs. Old With The Song "Treat Em Right" By CHUBB ROCK, But It Was The Track "SCENARIO" By A TRIBE CALLED QUEST That Set The Stage For E-RoC.
E-RoC's Exposure To Music Stretches As Far Back As His Birth. His Mother Was A Singer Who Also Started At A Very Young Age Because Her Father Was A Singer In The 50's. E-RoC Also Had 2 Uncles And 2 Cousins Who Were DJ's So It Came Natural To E-RoC To Express Himself Through Music.
E-RoC's First Musical Ventures Began At The Age Of Ten With Djing With His Cousin Mike Doing Mobile Gigs. Taking The Age Factor Into Consideration, His Music Gear Setup Was Considerably Modest. However E-RoC's Persistence Prevailed And His Love For Music Pushed Him To Acquire Equipment That Was Sufficient In Satisfying His Musical Desires. Throughout His Teens, E-RoC (then known as E-Double) Worked On Various Projects With Fellow Hip Hop Acquaintances Including Tracks Used In School Talent Show Performances.
In Addition To Hip-Hop, He Also Had A Love For 80's Freestyle Music And Found Himself Involved In The Early Vocal House Music Scene. In The Late 90's. Under The Name DJ RiDDlA,(which was also his favorite villan), E-RoC Began To Make A Reputation For Himself By Spinning At Local Bars/Clubs And House Parties. Although DJing Was An Excellent Form Of Musical Expression, It Simply Wasn't Enough. He Began To Assemble Tracks Of His Own. The First Project That Developed From His Excursions Was A Album Titled "CALM BEFORE THE STORM" With His Best Friend Dylahn Dilinjah.
Throughout The Remainder Of The 90's And 2000's, E-RoC Worked With Various Up And Coming Artists Like, Dylahn, Skript Keeper, Pledge, J-Lane, P.L., Renagade(2-Face&Duece), Chubby Pockets, Trip Da Don, Etc. Unfortunately, E-RoC's Day Job Interfered With Music, Consuming Time, Energy And His Drive To Forge Ahead. He Soon Found Himself With An Unfinished Mind. Leaving The DJ Business For 3 yrs. Put A Serious Hurt On His Fame. However, In 2003, A Close Friend That Happened To Be Involved With Local Bar/Club Promotions Encouraged Him To Perform At His Venues. E-RoC Agreed And Once Again Began To Make A Name For Himself In The Bar/Club Scene.
Since Then, E-RoC Has Worked On Crafting His Own Style of Turntablism And Today Simply Focuses On All Types Of Music Rather Than Sticking To One Genre. E-RoC's Ultimate Goal Is To Keep The Dance Floor Packed And Make Sure You Have The Time Of Your Life.
