The Unholy Trinity (aka T.U.T.) hails from Virginia and is a SIDE PROJECT that is comprised of the members of both 'Burning Angel' and 'Darkshrine'. Desecrator and Decimator are from Burning Angel and Bloodlord is from Darkshrine. The two bands are both currently in the middle of recording their new albums, but somehow made the time to engage in this project. The two bands decided that it was time to unleash unmerciful metal that deviated a bit from their roles in Burning Angel and Darkshrine. They also wanted to create a subgenre of metal that would differ than that of what Burning Angel and Darkshrine are. So it was determined that The Unholy Trinity would try to recapture some of the older black/death metal sounds, (ie: Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Necrophagia) but with also some of the more contemporary black/death metal sounds such as Cradle of Filth and Slayer. With those ideas in mind, coupled with the unique overtones of The Unholy Trinity, resulted in a clever combination of the best qualities of both 1st and 2nd generations of extreme metal. The Unholy Trinity is not only a ghost of the brutality that once existed when these two bands were one, but is also a crushing delivery of black/death metal that only hints to what is to be expected from both Burning Angel and Darkshrine.
