Blessed with a voice that stops audiences in their
tracks, warms their senses and moves their souls,
Veronica Dawkins is with out a doubt, a STAR! Born
uptown Harlem, NYC, she has not been singing but
"SANGIN" since age 4.She resides in New York City today but Veronica grew
up in Bloomfield, CT where she attended Bloomfield
High School. Half of the day Veronica also attended
the Greater Hartford Academy of Arts. It was there
along with church that she began to hone her soulful
gift. After many school plays, church choirs, school
emsembles, and private performances, Veronica moved on
to Berklee College of Music where her timeless sound
won her a huge scholarship to the prestigious
institution. She majored in Music Business. She always
said that her "education at Berklee was not just in
the classroom," refering to the many performances with
students and alumni that playor sing for Patti
LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Sting, Usher, D'Angelo, Brian
Mcknight and so many more.Veronica has since gone from college student to
vocalist extraordinare. Her soulful sound leaves
people wanting more and more everywhere she goes. She
has combined technique with raw talent that has taken
her all over the world many times over. Veronica has
performed with gospel artists, plays and ensembles
like the world famous Harlem Gospel Singers and many
more. She sang up and down the islands of Japan and
Australia. Has traveled to more cities in Europe than
she can remember and has blown up the stage in all of
the Americas; Canada, South America and of course the
USA!As if that wasn't enough, she didn't stop there,
Veronica was also an American idol finalist in
Hollywood. She was blessed to have beaten out 65,000
other people before the top 25 were picked to
be shown on TV in season 5. Check out my pictures to

season of the great Catherine McPhee and Idol winner
Taylor Hicks.After hearing Veronica sing, Catherine McPhee said to
Veronica, "I sure hope we get a chance to sing
together. I love your voice." Even though she was not
one of the TV finalist how many can say they actually
went to the last round? Not many! That is because
Veronica is truly and always will be, a STAR! Her time
