For Freedom and Justice in Ireland ...

About Me

If you're new to this topic, take a moment and read. The problems faced by the IRA today are as follows:1) British occupation of Ireland continues to be unjust, sectarian in nature, and rooted in violence.2) British occupation of Ireland has caused a deep rift between the two communities in Northern Ireland through decades of propogating fear and mistrust between two peoples who were at one time united in the cause of freedom.3) The British use Loyalist paramilitary groups to cary out killings of prominant Nationalists and to intimidate critics of the occupation. They have armed these groups and supplied them with names, faces and addresses of political opponents of the occupation.4) The British have, on several occasions, knowingly used military power against unarmed civillians resulting in death. We have put down our weapons to pursue a political dialogue in the hopes that this will further our cause of removing the British military and government from Ireland. However, we're still ready to fight if the need ever arises.
