In Loving Memory Of PFC Chris Dixon

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Like many families my family has suffered a great loss to the War In Iraq.
My cousin PFC Chris Dixon "Dix" of Lima Company 3/25, was killed in action in Karabilah, Iraq on May 11, 2005.
He was only 18 years old.
He was only one of many who were lost. As a member of this close net family I took it upon myself to do something for Chris and the other members of our military who may or may not have served with Chris.
I know how many of you feel about this war. But wheather for or against this war we as family members of the fallen heros need to keep their memories alive.
I know I could never express how proud I am to say that Chris is my cousin.
He was only one of the many people who have been KIA since this war started.
This page was created for Chris' friends to have a place to go when they are thinking about him. or missing him.
This page is also dedicated to all the men and women who have fought for our country and who are still fighting for our country. Thank You!
About Chris: He was not a year out of high school. Only 18 years old. Chris' brother Chad remembers him as a joke-cracking daredevil. He said Chris use to ride his dirtbike up and down their quiet residential street, wearing a cowboy hat, standing on the seat. He use to ride wheelies all the way up and down his street. His mom and dad said that he wasnt afraid of anything. Not only did Chris like to ride his dirt bike he also like to hunt in Kentucky and fish. Chris was a great person and he loved his family very much. And as a member of his family we loved him just as much as he loved us. Thank you so much for taking the time to view this page.
The military called him Private First Class Dixon. I called him Chris. You called him a man. I called him my BABY COUSIN. You call him a MARINE. I call him my HERO!

My Interests

THE MARINES PRAYER

Almighty Father , whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family. Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Make me considerate of those committed to my leadership. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer. AMEN.

Heroes:

I am going to try and write this section the way I think Chris would have written it.
I think first and formost I think he would say God was his number one hero.
I also believe his mom and dad for all of the direction and support they have always provided him with. For all of the love they gave him.
His brother Chad for being the best brother anyone could have ever asked for. They were closer than brothers they were best friends.
And all of the military men and women. The men and women of the Marine Corp. as well as any other men and women who have fought for our country. Wheather you were physically fighting beside Chris or 100 miles away fighting in another part of the country you are all heroes.
