About Me

BOOKS. I'm a keen reader - I review books for a couple of professional magazines/websites and you'll find me on Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de and Amazon.com.MUSIC. I also love music! I love indie/alternative particularly but I listen to many different genres. Current favourite bands are Leaves, Sigur RÃ³s, Muse, CMX, Saybia, Kasabian, Editors.I also love classical music. I've moved on from listening to mainly orchestral when I was younger and I now prefer choral (Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, that kind of thing). And as for solo music, I particularly appreciate the countertenor Andreas Scholl. I'm no expert at all, but listening to this music sometimes takes you to heaven.WHAT ELSE?. Walking... I have a Weimaraner dog and we walk for an hour and a half to two hours every day.I also like sailing! Check out my Videos section for some short clips of sailing.

Anyone from Germany; I'm trying to brush up my German in the hopes that I might go and live there eventually.

Music:

The song playing is "O Quam Tristis" from the Stabat Mater by the modern composer Marco Rosano and is sung by the incomparable countertenor Andreas Scholl (see my Friends list for the MySpace pages of both of these gentlemen).

Books:

I'm a big fan of Georgette Heyer's Regency novels, I also enjoy the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and a good thriller/mystery.
