About Me
Tamas Barany is a pianist/keyboardist, composer, arranger and sound engineer. His folk singer mother and 'special' agent father had a clavinet, guitar and old turntable at home - the festivities never stopped... After getting a used, grand piano at the age of 8, Tamas started studying classical music at the Bela Bartok national music academy private courses. He became passionate and lived a life of musical immersion. Learning in recording studios since 1990, Tamas also worked for Yamaha Hungary, participated in fairs and showcases Europe-wide. Being on-stage and back, he learned the different technical components from professional technicians. He developed some solid friendships throughout the years, taking the stage or studio to accompany well-known artists. He has experience performing in international tours, in the composition of film scores and commercial advertising projects. Over the last ten years, he has produced and played on pop, rock, r&b and hip-hop albums(gold,platinum), combining his fine hearing and agile fingers to create quality sounds. In contrast to his rock n' roll attitude, he is also a Knight in the Order of Saint George.THE NEW, ALMOST-INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM, RHODES TRIP IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! WE RECORDED IT IN STUDIO AIR M.S., WITH TOP-OF-THE-LINE MUSICIANS FROM MONTREAL. THERE ARE NO ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS INVOLVED - EVEN THE DJS PLAYED ON A GRAMOPHONE! AND THE ANALOG EQUIPMENT HELPED TO DELIVER THE SOUND, ONCE AGAIN. THE BASICS WERE CREATED IN ONLY A FEW HOURS, WITH MY RHODES PIANO, A DOUBLE BASS(AlexBellegarde) AND DRUMS( Namori, Alain Mercure) LEADING THE WAY. THEN WE PICKED UP SOME FRIENDS ( Eduardo Sanchez 'Trompet', Kiko Osorio 'Percussion', Philippe Dalphe 'Sax', D.P. 'Flute', Richard Lemoin 'Guitar' and DJ 7D ) FOR EXTRA DIMENSION AND FLAVOR.
