Israel's four leading trombonists in a marvelous tribute to the trombone masters; J. J. Johnson, Kai Winding and Slide Hampton.
The Tromoboniere has a unique sound, with the absent of harmonic instrument, the four trombones play the harmony from the melody through the solos. The rhythm comes from a swingin' double bass and drums.
The band's repertoire includes tribute to the great three trombonists with "yes sir that's my baby" from the Jay & Kai Songbook, J.J. Johnson's famous ballad "Lament" arranged by Slide Hampton and original compositions and arrangements written by the Tromboniere members.
The Tromboniere made its much appriciated premiere in the Eilat International Jazz Festival 2006, and has been touring Israel since.
