Formed in CT in early 2005 Modifi Sci decided to conquer all that was able to be conquered. Lyricists Madecipha and Luminol have crossed paths several times throughout the years. Both have a strong horror background and would always see each other at events and concerts.Soon they found out that they both had a talent for music and quickly earned each other's respect. A friendship was born resulting in the devastation many have already witnessed. A movement is being made so standing still will get you killed.
Cognizant and appreciative of the nonstandard things in life, Modifi Sci has an unending supply of influences. With life-long involvement in paranormal occurrences, religious and scientific study, and research on conspiracies large and small, Modifi Sci has an extensive collection of underexposed aspects of human life to elucidate.
With musical influences from ICP, Tool, Korn, Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie, Lydia Lunch, Canibus, KRS-ONE, Jedi Mind Tricks, Alien Sex Fiend, Danny Elfman, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nas, The Misfits, Guns & Roses, Mike Patton, Esham, Natas, Meatloaf, Cat Stevens, Metallica, Nirvana, Onyx, Gravediggaz and many more. You can clearly see that each of the members has a universal style and respect for all music. We would probably do a rock side project if we didn't suck at playing instruments.
Ghost hunting has become almost a necessity inside of the duo. We were always into it but the curiosity grew and we found ourselves 3 miles deep in the woods at haunted cemeteries. We didn't want to be labeled copycats or have a gimmick. We don't just rap to rap. We take what we do extremely serious and hope to open your eyes. We live,breathe and sweat horror that will have you re-evaluating what you believe and definitely have you scratching your head. Madecipha recently was involved in taking paranormal classes and is working on a book of some of his more interesting paranormal experiences.
The book we are in the midst of publishing will feature our most prominent ghost photos from our favorite spots in the state. The "Bara Hack Tree" photo which is already famous in the area is by far not the only undeniable shot we have taken. The untitled work will feature all 100% un-doctored photos that we believe to have imagery of paranormal occurrences. Along side the photos will be in-depth explanations of the photos, and a detailed recap of the events of the ghost hunt.
There is a long list of spots in CT deemed supernaturally active that we have investigated thus far. Some outings resulting in no more than brief EMF readings, EVP's, voices, electrical haywires in cars, and "shadow dragons" in the sky. There's an even longer list of places yet to be visited.
The duo spends much time studying those subjects that are often over-looked by society. Government conspiracies to haunted places,epidemic outbreaks to current events & religions of all kinds to aliens and astrology Modifi Sci proves they are the world's most universal and diverse rap group.
