About Me

I grew up in Baltimore (balmer hon!), surrounded by the very rich and vibrant music scene that exists in and around Baltimore/Virginia/D.C. Guitar players seem to abound in the area - Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, Tom Principato, Jimmy Thackery, Michael Hedges when he attended Peabody, Dr Know... Frank Zappa used to live in Baltimore when he was a kid, but that doesn't really count. Then again - maybe there's something in the water?
I've been playing guitar forever (I "are" a guitar-slut - it is quite possible to be "too thin", but you can never own too many guitars...), or so it seems - since I was in my early teens. My influences are too numerous to name, but the biggies include Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Earl Klugh, Al Di Meola, Martin Simpson, Johnny Winter, Carlos Santana, Doyle Dykes, Ernie Isley, the three Kings (B.B., Albert, Freddie), SRV, unheard-of dudes (Michael Lee Firkins for example).... The list goes on, and on.These days I'm an angry scientist by day... or was that a mad-scientist? I can't remember... By night, the Mr. Hyde side of me gigs with my band Rumor Has It... :
Check out our new singer Jayme: She's a cutie, and she has a KILLER voice... We're really happy to have her on board.
We cover a lot of musical ground - from straight up rock & roll, to funk and old R&B. It keeps me sane.

When I left for the dealership I was supposed to come home with a Subaru station wagon. Oh OOPS!!! The Boy-Racer in me won out. Then I went a little bit nutz - Audi Performance Racing Chip (props to the guys at New German Performance!), bigger downpipe, bigger turbocharger, bigger intercooler, tweaked throttle body, tweaked suspension. Oh joy...
If you see this dude (L'il Drac) on the rear deck of a black Jetta GLi (especially if the music's up loud and the car is moving "at speed")...it's probably me. Kickin' asphalt....

TWO WOLVES
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grand son thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
