The Front Group

About Me

NEW!!! We have had so many requests for our new material that we have put up two rehearsal cuts, Lillies of the Field and Fish Out Of Water. Take a listen! The Front Group started back in 2004 as three guys who wanted to jam and rock out. By early 2005 we had come up with our name and decided to crank out loud, heavy, modern, jazzy and progressive rock 'n roll with no gimmicks and with little regard for "commercial appeal." We also believed in protesting things with our music - not political garbage, but the real issues we see around us, like the use of modern technology to turn our peeps into apathetic zombies who can't see their lives being ruined. We don't like that very much.

We love music - we love our fans and we love being LOUD.

Special Announcement: Our debut EP disk, "Tunes From The Kitchen" is now available and you can check it our at our new band web site - www.thefrontgroup.com . You can buy the album right from the site and also get your self a really cool T-Shirt!

Sounds Like:

Who should we say we sound like? That's a strange question to answer...

Some will say we resemble a lot of "pre-classic rock" bands like Cream, Hendrix, Yardbirds, etc. Our style is a jazzy modern rock that hits into a lot of jam-oriented improv. We're a "live" band and our sound is very electric, loud and we rock out....

We have a streak of Jethro Jull in our sound, and a bit of Jeff Beck - some of our jamming probably sounds a little bit like Phish or Greatful Dead. We dig blues and we play some blues but we aren't a "blues band." We have a modern alternative bent but we aren't "steering" ourselves in that direction.

We'd like to think we have a unique sound - most bands would like to think that. Our fans seem to feel we're pretty unique, which is what matters most to us! Anyway, hope that helps - buy our album and take it with you wherever you go - you won't be dissapointed!/P
