Serene Molestation came into fruition in its earliest stage as the band known as Anal Spewicide. Started by vocalist Chris, the band floundered until he met bassist Rory, and they took off as a 2 man goregrind band. It stayed that way from late 2005 through early 2006, until Chris and Rory met guitarist Simon. Simon's sick abilities and ideas helped bring the band an extra level of brutality and groove, and the band delved deeper into brutal death, all the while keeping their goregrind qualities. Through 2006 the band made several live appearances, never quite having a solid second guitarist until Justin's arrival. Dylan came and went, the band discovering he was not quite the right fit.Once 2007 came around, the band decided that the previous moniker of Anal Spewicide did not do the rapidly progressing music justice, instead opting for Serene Molestation. Despite the band's hopes, this change was not to be the last one. Long time guitarist Simon departed in June 2007, leaving the band as a 3 piece, until the discovery of drummer Allen. They continued as a 4 piece, playing many shows and building a solid fan base in Toronto until July of 2008. Guitarist Justin, and founding member, vocalist Chris, both decided to leave the band to pursue other things, and the band was reduced to two members. But, soon after, a new guitarist and vocalist were found. Guitarist Mike and vocalist Isabelle were both eager to be part of Serene Molestation, and the band was eager to have them. Soon after the band entered the studio to record a few tracks for their debut EP, Narcissistic Mutilation, due out mid-2009. In February of 2009, they added a second guitarist, Andrew, and he helps add a new level of sickness to the music, thickening out the sound. This is where they stand now, ready to kick some serious ass, confident our music will inspire and corrupt all those who chance to hear it.
