After topping the charts with 3 hit singles including ‘Every Time We Touch and ‘Miracle’ plus a #3 album Cascada are back with another sure fire hit- Kim Sozzi’s ‘Break Up’.
Hailing from N.Y. Kim Sozzi, a rising star in the US is set to take the UK by storm with the release of ‘Break Up’- following in the footsteps of dance legends like DHT, DJ Sammy, Angel City and Cascada. Cascasda, (who comprise of DJ/producers Manian and Yanou from Germany), have made big waves within the dance charts in 2006. Yanou is also the man behind DJ Sammy’s worldwide #1 smash ‘Heaven’. After already conquering the U.S. and UK; in teaming up with Kim Sozzi they now look set to continue their success in 2007.
Don’t be deterred if you think that, by its title, this track is going to be a little downhearted. The song’s euphoric feel is reflected, not only in its driving beats, but in its upbeat lyrics. It’s not infact so much about breaking up, as it is about kissing and making up!
A limited mail out was sent just before Xmas to DJ’s across the UK and ‘Break Up’ became an instant dance floor filler! It was re serviced in February with new mixes including the superb 2-4 Grooves mix and peaked at #3 in the Music Week pop chart. With its huge commercial potential this track will become a Saturday night anthem across the UK without a doubt. Kim is no stranger to the glitz and glam of the industry (her mum was a dancer and her dad owns an entertainment company) by the age of eight she knew she wanted to sing. Her variety of vocal styles even caught the attention of Columbia records CEO at the time Tommy Motolla. Break Up is set to storm the charts this May, Kim’s stunning vocals and Cascada’s signature bassline are the perfect combination and is guaranteed to be another chart smash for the hit making duo! Who said Breaking up couldn’t be fun?
