Acrania is a Mexican project that proposes a different musical style, with strong Melodic Death influences, complementing with different Latin rythms, melodies and with other instruments that aren’t the classical “metal†ones; finding for a new concept combining different musical styles such as: Samba, Bossanova, Songo, Jazz and different typical Mexican rythms with Death and Thrash Metal. The band has created a very unique and agile metal-sound and gives a different and innovative proposal.
Acrania was made their first show to public eye under the name of Necrofilia in the spring of 2001. The first demo of the band was finished in the summer of 2004 and was titled “Necrofilia-Necrofiliaâ€, it was recorded, produced and distributed totally in an independent way.
In September of 2007 Acrania launched their first professional and independent E.P. called "IN PEACEFUL CHAOS", which was recorded at Dagoth Studios and it is being released as a preview of the full-length Album to come. The musical compose of that LP it is concluded, and contain 9 tracks with a length of 45 min, and it is titled: “PERPETUAL AWAKENINGâ€, the band is searching for begin the recording…
