About Me

First let me say, I've got VIDEOS. Please click here to check 'em out. I'm responsible for GTV (Girdwood Television) local cable channel 6 in Girdwood, Alaska. The station's been on the air for 2 years as of June 7th! You can find much of the station's material if you go to Archive.org and search for GTV. I just got a new camera, and will be posting lots of little video clips, so check out my Videos. I used to play bass and sing a bit for Dirty Little Monkey , but as fun as performing was, that was a drain I was apparently unable to sustain. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, camping, fishing and just hangin' out. I am an experienced Audio producer, getting started in radio in 1984, and working in audio through it's evolution from analog to digital and into non-linear editing on Mac and PC's. I've been Production Director for a 6-station media group(AMG), and Imaging Director for a rock station(106.5 KWHL) I started editing video several years ago, and have shot and produced a number of promotional videos and DVDs for businesses around Girdwood. There are a whole bunch of samples of my audio/video/music work on www.girdwoodtelevision.com. It's a mash up of two sites right now, so enjoy the clutter. Be sure and check out the "Old Production Site" since that's where a lot of the Pre-GTV samples are to be found. I'm just getting settled into a new place that will be production-ready soon. If you've got a music or video project that you'd like help with, I'm your man. Oh, and I'm an exceptional vocalist as well. I've got 437737 reasons to live.My list of MySpace friends consists of musicians who move me and people I actually know in no particular order.

My Interests

My favorite thing in the world is experiencing, seeing, thinking of, hearing something I've never experienced before, but even better is something never before experienced by anyone. It's something you witness in nature sometimes and one of my favoriet things about live performances.

I'd like to meet:

A band that can back me up. An investor seeking an inventor. Someone who can show me a sign...And, you happy to see me...

Music:

I like most genre of music. I enjoy and respect complex compositions with unexpected yet natural turns. Rhythm drives me and sonic landscaping pleases me greatly. Anywhere I might start the list would be only a small facet of the music I like. From Simon & Garfunkle to Peter Gabriel. Tool to James Taylor. Jane's Addiction, Jethro Tull, Tricky, Golden Palominos, King Crimson, Tenacious D, System of a Down, David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Yours, Mine, The Wind moving anything...

Movies:

I love picking apart the production value of movies, but have a soft spot for sentimental flicks with surprise emotional twists. You see acts of faith and love in movies rarely seen in humanity. Movies I'd like to see: Anne Rice - Memnoch The Devil, Robert Heinlein - Friday, the Cat Who Walks Through Walls, and especially Number of the Beast and Frank Herbert - Destination Void & it's sequel Trilogy.

Television:

Myth Busters, Survivor(I'd love to go on that vacation) Fear-Factor(I've got some ideas for that show) MXP?(that Japanese show with the comedy English overdubbing) This or That(Coney Island's bestest) and what ever happened to Dog Eat Dog? Oh, and I did just watch the entire Battlestar Galactica series to date, pretty much in one sitting.

Books:

I haven't actually read much fiction since I got Lasik from the Grandahl monster. . I do however research and read the Internet fairly ravenously...

Heroes:

All those who perform and persist in excellence despite the grasping of a jealous and hateful few.
