About Me

I was raised in a working class family in the suburbs south of Tacoma Washington. I was the youngest of too many children. I make art. Mostly tattoos and paintings. I used to make music but I was not good at it. I am a sensitive artist type. Anyone who knows me will confirm that. I have also been un-ambitious. That's kind of like being a slacker but not as bad. I am working on it. I try harder now. I waiver between opinionated arrogance and questionable self esteem. Depends on my recent accomplishments. I am only as valuable as my last painting, tattoo, artshow, whatever. I defected to Seattle in 1992. Now I work all the time. I use my weekends to paint and draw. In the Spring and Summer I tend my garden and take my dogs on long walks and clean my aquariums. I read books on occasion. watch movies sometimes. See live music about monthly. I don't drive cars, I ride busses. I don't eat cows or pigs. I stay up late and sleep in.
You can view my tattoos and paintings at www.georgelongtattoo.com. There will be links to other artists. I encourage you to investigate regularly

Mostly people I've already met. I'm not opposed to making new aquaintances through this medium, but I barely make time for people I know already. So, If I know you, or we've met, or if we have mutual friends, then please contact me. If you are a stranger with a lot of common interests, then okay, maybe. If you are just bored and curious, please move on. I would like to use myspace as a way of keeping in touch with old friends or those who have moved away.

I don't have cable, but I am going to rent all of those HBO series that everyone raves about. I liked The Sopranos and I hope the others are that well done. I used to have basic cable and I liked watching the cartoon network and Animal Planet sometimes. I will always tune in to watch SNL, even though it's hit and miss nowadays. I watch the news on public television every now and then. Most people I know say that they hate TV and never watch it. They are lying. Even those who don't have a television get sucked into it, like when they're at a bar or at someone elses house. I always mute the commercials. I absolutely hate television advertising. Radio ads are even worse !
