Tha King of Lizard Funk!

About Me

.. width="425" height="350" .... ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------My mission in life is to unite the Bay Area hip Hop scene and jumpstart my own music career along with that of my crew. I want to bring the focus back to the Bay Area like The Game is doing for Compton right now. - - - - Other than that, I hang out frequently with my friends in San Francisco, Daly City, and Sacramento. I drive a lot. I go from 800 to 1000 miles a week. I burn out cars fast. I love Chinese food. (watch out Asian Girls!). I also love Mexican food. (watch out Latinas!) - - -Recently I produced an animated music video called "Tha Lizardman". You can watch the video for free by clicking on the "watch my video link" below or at my website www.macjeff.net . - -Also check out my music at http://www.myspace.com/thalizardman - - -..- - - - - - Mac Jeff, aka Tha Lizardman, was born in Vallejo and has lived in Bay Area cities San Jose, Fairfield, and Sacramento. Mac Jeff started his rap career as "Tha Lizardman" in 1988 doing local shows in Fairfield and Sac. - - - - - -In 1990, Mac Jeff met rapper "The Mac" (Michael Robinson) at an autograph signing in Fairfield. Impressed with Robinson's style and words, Mac Jeff (originallly known as "Tha Lizardman") adopted "Mac Jeff" as his performance name. A short time later, Robinson was brutally murdered and Mac Jeff has kept the name as a tribute to the original Vallejo Mac. - - - - - -In 1995, Mac Jeff dropped his first single "Tha Lizardman" and his second single "Taboo" in 1999 on Taboo Territory Records. In 2003, Mac Jeff appeared in a commercial for the Sacramento Cable Channel 17. The Macjeff.net website was launched in 2004. - - - - - -In 2005, Mac Jeff produced "Tha Lizardman" animated video and joined the rap group "The Rival Menace" on Sac's Finest Records (along with Hmong rappers Siccness and Supaphly, Filipino rappers Sayso, Potpot, and L.G., and Gangsta rappers Dolla Stack, E., and Nitrouz). - - - - - -Mac Jeff also appeared on the San Francisco Cable talkshow "Stage Fright" twice during Summer 2005. The new Rival Menace album (The Hidden Agenda) hit stores in Fall 2005. - - - - - - -Mac Jeff is currently working on his solo album, "Get yo Fetty" and working towards the launch of his own clothing line. - - - - - - - -Mac Jeff sites his influences as Mac Dre, Mac Mall, Mac Shawn, Rappin 4Tay, Andre Nickatina, Too Short, The Click, NWA, Brotha Lynch Hung, and the Geto Boyz. - - - - -.. Television:

I don't have much time for television, but I've been trained in Camera work, Studio and Digital Film production. One of my biggest goals is to set up a film studio and produce a hip hop show similar to American Idol. After that, music videos and horror movies!

Books:

The books I'm reading right now are two music production books by Dave Gibson of the Globe Recording Institute in San Francisco, and HTML for the Web by Elizabeth Castro. Other than that, give me an X-men comic any day, or the Source, Vibe, and Murder Dog magazines.

Heroes:

I think the real heroes right now are our young men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The majority of them are only 18 and 19 and they are risking death eveyday in a foreign country. I can't think of anything more courageous than that. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----- A personal hero of mine is a man named Michael Robinson. I met him at his record signing at the Hip Hop Shop in Fairfield when I was fourteen. He called himself "The Mac" and had just put out his first record. I told him I wanted to be a rapper like him, but it seemed like too much work. He told me to grab my dream like it was a hundred dollar bill and never let it go. He said everything in life is hard work, so its better to work at what you love. You can't lose if you don't give up. Three months later he was brutally murdered in a case of mistaken identity. I never forgot his words and I've used his name in tribute ever since.-----
