Subzero nace a mediados del año 2001 de la mano de Lucas Grandi -voz y programacion-, A. Zero -guitarra-, Adrian Rexzon -bajo y programacion- y Fabian Rootz -bateria y samplers-. Poco tiempo despues realiza su primer show profesional en Blue Velvet (actualmente C.B.G.B.) y comienza su recorrido por el circuito “under” porteño con presentaciones en Cemento, Salon Pueyrredon, Peteco’s y El Sotano, entre otras.
En la edicion 2006 del Pepsi Music, el escenario Roxy del Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires recibe a Subzero. La banda sorprende y despliega su performance en el festival de musica mas importante del año junto a destacados grupos nacionales e internacionales.
Su fuerza se impone, su energia contagia, sus distorsiones seducen y la banda de electro-rock del conurbano bonaerense continua sus shows. Son convocados para tocar en la tercera convención nacional de tatuajes, tanto de Buenos Aires como de Mar del Plata, y asi se extienden las presentaciones en la costa atlantica y el interior del pais.
Entre sus trabajos, se destaca tambien la musicalizacion del corto “No olvidar”, sobre la guerra de las Islas Malvinas, bajo la produccion y direccion artistica de Funky Family Inc.
En octubre de 2006, luego de consolidar su lugar en los escenarios, Subzero lanza su produccion discografica debut “Pleno Vertigo” y como fieles exponentes del rock electronico celan su esencia combinando matices con un estilo propio que los identifica.
En sus diez canciones, el primer CD de Subzero refleja una estetica acorde a su musica y sus letras adoptando la fuerza de las guitarras distorsionadas y la electronica como elementos principales.
Luego del estreno del disco, se presenta oficialmente en CM -el canal de la musica- el primer video producido por la banda correspondiente al tema homonimo del disco.
Subzero borns on the middle of 2001, by the hand of Lucas Grandi, voice, guitar, and programming, A. Zero –guitar and choirs-, Adrián Rexzon – bass and programming – and Fabián Rootz – drums and samplers –. Shortly afterwards they play their first professional show in Blue Velvet (actually CBGB) and Subzero starts its tour by the underground circuit in Buenos Aires, with shows in “Cemento”, “Salón Pueyrredon”, “Peteco’s” and “El Sótano” , among others.
By 2006 edition of the Pepsi Music, the Roxy stage of the Ciudad de Buenos Aires Club, receives Subzero. The band surprises and deploys its performance at the most important festival of the year, among featured national and international bands.
Its strength is imposed, its energy is contagious, its distortions seduces, and the electro rock band of Buenos Aires, continue the shows. They are summoned to play at the 3rd national tattoo convention, in Buenos Aires and in Mar del Plata, and the shows spread all over the Argentinian atlantic coast and some argentinian provinces.
Among their works, it is outlined also, the musicalization of the short movie “No Olvidar (“Do not forget”), about the war in Malvinas, under the production and artistic direction of “Funky Family Inc”.
On October 2006, after consolidate its place on the stages, Subzero realeases their first discographic production “Pleno Vértigo” and as faithful exponents of electro rock they watch their essence combining shades of a proper style that identifies them.On its ten songs, Subzero first record, reflects an aesthetics according to its music and lyrics, adopting the strength of the distortioned guitars and the electronic as principal elements.
After the premiere of the record, Subzero officially presents in CM –The music channel – its first video, produced by itself, which is homonym of the record.
