Boston Promenade is a Big Band formed in Helsinki, Finland already way back in 1964. The band consists of 25 musicians (13 horns, 7 singers and the rhythm section). The 42-year-old band is well known in Finland as a popular jazz and party band at larger company events. Boston Promenade has played in big events of globally known companies including Nokia, Canon, IBM, SAP, Accenture, Citibank, BAT and many others. In addition, the band has played in PoriJazz as well as at the Imatra Big Band festival.Boston Promenade’s musical repertoire is very broad and flexible. The
band mostly starts off with easy, mellow jazz, and as the evening
develops, so does the music. The people in the audience turn from
being listening observers into dancing party-animals, while the band
plays hits from Frank Sinatra, Brian Setzer, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones and
Elvis Presley to the pop and rock music of today.Boston Promenade has traveled a lot and has performed from New York
to Moscow, conquered Australia, China, Namibia, Peru, South Africa, Kyrgiztan and Kazakhstan and is heading to Japan in 2007.
