Down Beat Jones, a funky rock trio hailing from Tempe, Az....who seeks to show that the southwest rock n' roll is alive and jumping. Down Beat Jones infectious bass lines and explosive stage presence make them unique to an industry full of imitators to listeners who seek change. Every show is filled with soaring rock mixed with r&b, funk, rock, and heavy blues. While the band is on stage you'll see pure rock passion is fully unleashed at its finest. Down Beat Jones seizes any opportuity to get any crowd up and out of their seats. The sights and sounds will flow even through the thickest of souls. I am Roger the guitarist for Down Beat Jones. we have been together for since the end of june of 05'. we all come from different styles and backgrounds of music. The songs u hear now were recorded with my buddy Ian (from the band Otomy) in 3 days in late dec 05'. I am here to network with other bands and our fans as well. we love to play and let loose when we come together. Dance, mosh, drink to, smoke to, or whatever u wish to do, thats the greatest thing about music/art, TOTAL FREEDOM Hello to all....... my name is Roger and i have been playing guitar for about 11yrs. I was born in San Diego, Ca.(Chula Vista) when i moved to Long Beach, Ca in 95' that is were i found my true love...music. it feels like yesterday i was in my room and rocking out to Temple of the Dog( which i still do by the way)---- i listen to all types of music (i'm very moody with my music) now i live in Tempe, Az... i also play some piano and someday the violin. when i am not playn music i am working out, hanging with my 4 beautiful nieces playing Polly Pockets or Barbie's (what? don't grown men play with Barbies any more???). .
