About Me

Bio
Epicoros, stems from the original ancient hebrew word (Apikoros) which roughly translates to "he who is without religion". It is appropriate that we should be called by this name because it can justly reflect upon our personal outlooks as well. We are a group of individuals writing progressively dark and depressing music with touches of melancholic epic energy; that overall sums up (musically) the emotions attributed to the genres aforementioned, and everything else that represents the downfall of religion, in the broader scheme of things. We are not black metal, krieg, grim, nor do we want to be associated with those terms. This band is about the musicianship and mocking the stupidity of human kind. If your genre holds you captive to a myopic way of thinking and it becomes your religion, you're no better than christians, muslims, or any other sort of religious follower. You are a slave to your own way of thinking. We are Epicoros, expect a throng of relentless blasphemy.
