Hello! Welcome to my hair myspace. I'm Katie Johnson and I've been doing hair for four years now, professionally two. I am trained with Paul Mitchell color and products and it is my expertise! Along with that, I specialize in cutting, color, up-do's, styling and I will soon be certified in hair extensions. My short-term goals for now are to build up my clientèle and soon to become an educator for Paul Mitchell. I currently work at a beautiful salon in Carlsbad called Capriccio Salon. A lot of my work has been photographed but unfortunately it is a bit old, mainly from when I was in school. I have some of my work posted in my picture albums so feel free to go ahead and check them out! I do it all, highlights, color blocking techniques, avant garde, all over coloring, long layers, short cuts, the "pob", whatever! I have no limitations and I love to take risks and have fun with hair. I love all types of hair too! Long, short, straight, curly, fine, thick, whatever! I like to say I specialize in thick hair because I have it myself and it can be a tricky thing to deal with.
I love to educate my clients on product use and hair styling. I believe coming into the salon is supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. I will always cater to your needs! The salon I work at is great for that, we have drinks available, magazines, snacks, etc!
