I love to sing. Its the only thing I feel 100% confident in doing. When I was six years old my teacher, Mrs Madeley, used to make me stand up in front of the class and sing to everyone. I was totally embarrassed but somewhere deep inside it made me feel really cool.
I spent years in various bands trying to make the big time. Almost got signed, just missed the bigtime, the usual story and slowly the dream slipped away. I got into house music, site parties out on the razz and forgot all about it and thought I'd try to be a DJ.
Then one day, I walked into my flat-mates room to borrow some headphones and he was rehearsing with some jazz boys. The song was Witchcraft, a song I grew up with as my dad was a big Sinatra fan. I started to sing it and BANG that's when it all clicked into place.
Since that day I've sang at loads of different events; bahmitvahs, birthday parties, corporate do's and weddings . I love being a wedding singer, everyone's up for a good time, the champagne is flowing, the bridesmaids are radiant and love is in the air. An unbeatable vibe.
I've been very lucky to meet such a really cool bunch of guys who are great musicians and have helped me learn so much. Pete, Andy, Ben, Nick, Jac, Huw...the list goes on.
I've also been fortunate enough to fulfill some of my dreams and the biggest achievement was performing at Glastonbury Festival. Granted, it wasn't the Pyramid stage, but it many ways it was just as cool (apart from not having a luxury winnebago and loads of ca$h-mon£y!!). Singing with Bobby Davro at Dogma in Nottingham could be confused with a career low point but hey, this guys come round full circle and like Les Dennis and Keith Chegwin he's cool again!
We're meant to be playing at Glastonbury again this year so keep 'em peeled and maybe you'll see us in the Lost Vagueness field where all the real shit happens.
Anyway, check my space and check the website and hopefully you'll find something you like.
Thanks for visiting.
