About Me

without trying to sound like an insane person, i'm going to try to describe myself... this is always fun! :)
i'm your typical gemini with a cancer rising (ok... now that you officially think i AM insane)... but really... there are so many facets to my personality. anything i think, there is an opposite thought... for example Jeep vs. Porche, NYC apartment vs. country house, New York vs. San Francisco
You Belong in the Upper West Side
You have what it takes to be successful, but not snooty.
That's why you belong in the New York of Sex and the City and Seinfeld! Where Should Your Inner New Yorker Live?
You Belong in San Francisco
You crave an eclectic, urban environment. You're half California, half NYC.
You're open minded, tolerant, and secretly think you're the best.
People may dismiss you as a hippie, but you're also progressive, interesting, and rich! Where Does Your Inner Californian Belong?
basically... i am a really fun (so i've been told) girl who is down to earth, realistic and sweet but loves to live with her head in the clouds, daydreaming about all the possiblities life has to offer. i would literally give everything to the people i love in order to make them happy. my friends and family mean the world to me and i support their dreams with all i am. sometimes i don't have much to give, except my support... but usually they tell me even that is too much because i become so passionate about other peoples aspirations.
i love laughing and anyone who supplies me with tons of it. at this point i live life without regrets and am really just trying to enjoy it. i seem to wear my heart on my sleeve. sometimes this gets me in trouble, but what fun is life if you don't have a bit of a roller-coaster in you past? i mean really, what stories would you have to tell at girls night if there isn't ANY drama???
i do, however, hate stress in my life so i do everything possible to avoid it and the people who cause it(some would call this classic avoidance theory). friends love me because i say what i think and you never have to question what's going on in my head. i am a truly honest person, but have learned that moral only because i am a terrible liar. i have NO game face and too much guilt about not telling the truth.
i'm slightly jaded and cynical but a true romantic at heart. (if you watch 'Sex and the City' i am a splash of Miranda but mostly Carrie, without the fabulous shoes or heafty credit card debt. haha)
You Are Most Like Miranda!
While you've had your fair share of romance, men don't come first
Guys are a distant third to your friends and career.
And this independence *is* attractive to some men, in measured doses.
Remember that if you imagine the best outcome, it might just happen.
Romantic prediction: Someone from your past is waiting to reconnect... his name might even be Steve...
But you'll have to think of him differently, if you want things to work. Which Sex and the City Vixen Are You?
i believe in the 'American Dream' but don't like white picket fences.

My Interests

i have so many... it's hard to list everything. i'm a very creative person. i have a very vivid imagination. since i was little i have always loved writing. i wanted to be an author for a very long time... until i realized that i could never actually FINISH writing a book. i guess that is why i usually stick to journal entries and prose.
beside that, i am an avid seamstress... i love making things and hope one day to start my own small business. i also design clothes... i have many ideas for myself, but my portfolio and passion for designing is actually in children's wear... my sister recently taught me how to knit... and i absolutely LOVE it!!! The best hobby EVER.
i am an amatuer photographer... always have my camera by my side... who knows when the opportunity for a great memory will surface, which comes in handy because... i LOVE to travel and see new places. my last big trip was two years ago... went to korea, mainland china, and hong kong.
Before that i backpacked europe for 2 1/2 months after graduating college.

I'd like to meet:

i'm just looking to meet new and interesting people... people that can introduce me to new ideas, places, and hobbies. i love to learn and am open to almost anything.

my friend Jenny Girl has started her own business on e-bay, check out here stuff at the Vintage Loft by clicking the picture below...

Music:

All time favorite band is TOO MUCH JOY. I always wanted to personalize my license plate as 2MCHJY, but i think someone else beat me to it. My claim to fame (in my own mind) was that Tim Quirk heald the door open for me when i was 15 yrs old at the Stone Pony. The bouncer only let me in to buy a t-shirt! ROCK!
i really have an eclectic ear for music... i pretty much like everything (will at least give it a chance until it gives me a headache). i listen to anything from folk to pop, rock to rap, funk to punk. i like anything with great lyrics, good beats and gives me an emotional jolt. i also love to dance... anything that can get my booty movin' is fine by me.
Got moe?

Movies:

i'm not really into sci-fi or fantasy adventures type movies... but anything else is welcome... just have to decide what mood i am in (remember, i am a gemini with a cancer rising) give me sappy love stories, adventure, comedy, drama, documentary, foreign, historical... as long as it gets me, i get it. have to warn you though... to be friends with me... one must endure constant quoting from National Lampoons 'Christmas Vacation'

Television:

if it's on... i watch it.
One word 'LOST'
Two words, 'the Office'
Never get tired of trash like 'the bachelor' Can't forget my favorite shows on syndication, 'Friends' and 'Sex and the City'.
And finally, sports!!! i love watching METS baseball and tennis (can't wait for the US open!!!)

Books:

my favorite books of all time are 'Cider House Rules', 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil', 'the Notebook', 'White Oleander', 'the Thornbirds', 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and 'the Bridges of Madison County'. Started and finished the entire 'Harry Potter' series while commuting and can't wait till the next one comes out...

Heroes:

my sister, although she doesn't think she's awesome... so humble...

MY DAD... who i miss more and more every day.
