About Me
Hailing from the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sonuvagun combines the sounds of rock and grunge with the ever popular pop music formula.Years from now, when they are sitting on their solid gold jet drinking liquid gold from a golden chalice, you'll be able to say, "Wow, I remember when those guys were some local band." So please, enjoy them while you can, because it's only a matter of time before they get consumed by gorgeous women, product endorsement deals, millions of dollars, and letters begging them to play at such revered awards shows hosted by MTV and Nickelodeon. In the future, viewed as corporate commodities, Sonuvagun will no longer be able to deal with the pressure of fame, and will disband. Many years after they all of have done their solo projects, Sonuvagun will reunite to play one more tour. Realizing they should have never broken up in the first place, they tour for the next 30 years, playing the same songs and selling out arenas and festivals. At the ripe age of 55, Sonuvagun will make 10 more CDs in 5 years, following different formats such as techno and super-fast-hardcore-metal-extremeness. When the lead singer notices he is so old and so washed up, he will not be able to deal with it, and will kill himself by rerouting the exhaust from his car into his home. Upon his death, the record company will release over 10 tribute and compilation albums. The other band-mates will realize they need to move on. The bassist becomes the governor of Iowa, and the drummer joins and records with 20 more bands in the next 2 years.Meanwhile, the lead singer's widow will live off the fame and glory of her fallen husband and begin to sell pieces of his estate, including demos and b-side rarities. Sooner or later, the band will only be remembered for one song, and that one song will get radio play time and be considered alternative hard rock. True fans of the newer generation will take it upon themselves to continue to revive and make the same type of music popular, until they too fall to the pressures of fame. It's an endless cycle, and this generation, it starts and ends with Sonuvagun.
