Swiss singer Corinne has shaped her music through a succession of coincidences and experiences along her way. After studying vocals with opera singer Franziska Hegi at the Conservatory of Music in Berne, the desire of deepening the skills and quality in music lead her way to Los Angeles to study with world known teachers. The Los Angeles Music Academy turned out to be an important door to be opened in order to get familiar with different styles and types of music, such as R&B and Blues, but mostly Jazz.Back in Switzerland in 2005 she became the lead-singer of the Funk-Band “Pasticeâ€, which was formed by seven skilled and passionate musicians. After working together on new material and recording a demo, Pastice played on several stages across Switzerland.Always inspired by singers/songwriters like Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco and Fiona Apple, she started taking piano lessons in 2005 with Greek jazz-pianist Dimitrios Kapiris, who is amongst others an alumni of the Swiss Jazz School in Berne. With a head full of ideas and sounds, she dove into the world of analyzing, arranging and composing songs and finally started to write her own material. What you hear was recorded in January 2007 in the Mills Studio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. All songs written, arranged and produced by Corinne.
