2005:
The birth of Exile was a slow one, but after repeated line up changes they were finally ready to gig. The completed line-up consisted of ex-"Galerum" vocalist Dan Whittaker, Chris Oldham (drums), and ex-"Intervention" members "Angry" Mark (guitar) and Simon Lawery (bass).
With a complete line-up the band finally began a local tour, bringing back the kind of hairy, sweaty, 'alcohol fueled brewtality' that local scene hadn’t seen in a long, long time! Playing gigs with other great local bands including “Existendâ€, “Subliminal Fearâ€, “Deadfallâ€, "Hand Of Grief" and "Decent To Cocytus" to name but a few, as well as a number of headlining slots, the band gained respect and fans (as well as pissing certain people off along the way!) with their music, stage presence and some-what unpredictable live show.
2006:
The Evolution Of The Destruction!
After taking a short break (which turned into a much-longer-than-expected break!) from gigging to rework some old songs and write new material with the new line-up (Sayles on drums), Exile returned heavier, more brutal, more destructive and more determined than ever!
2007:
The Exile Army is growing...
Having recorded their first album “1, Earned In Blood†early in the year, Exile did a local tour. However in May Exile parted ways with longtime bass player Simon Lawery, Exile went into writing mode, having nearly finishing the writing for the 2nd album....the lineup was then completed by Carl Elliot....but took time getting things tighter and more brutal along the way....now with a complete sound. Exile are coming your way...heavier and more brutal than ever before!
Exile are coming your way… be ready!
Remember: if it don’t hurt when you mosh, its cos you're not moshing to Exile!
(Disclaimer: EXILE cannot be held responsible for injury or death caused while attending our gigs, Fuckin pussy!)
