Green is good. But don’t do it for the money. My first foray into the natural products market began with an all natural breath mint line called “VerMints- Vermont’s All Natural Breath mints. Since then I have been a consultant for a number of grocery and personal care products that you probably eat, drink and paint your body with. Starting my own line again was inevitable. The natural products market, in the beginning anyway, was sort of a get-rich-quick scheme for me. But I realized quickly that this wasn’t going to happen. Still hasn’t-(laughs). All of a sudden I realized I was passionate about providing quality products. It started with what I ate, what I applied to my skin, even what I purchased for my dog. It’s a biiiiig circle. Now I try to have a little fun with it- and working with great people doesn’t hurt either. I discovered that providing a great product doesn’t have to be overpriced to work well. Less is most certainly more. Less footprints on the environment can actually mean more on your bottom line. I just started looking out for the planet, and the industry-that was 10 years ago. Ever since then, it’s looked out for me. Life lessons I have applied. Listen to people who know. Change pace-mix it up,’ Nuff said. Take notes- I am always using voice recorder and digital camera on my treo. Stick to your game plan. Make a goal-and stick to it (and stay out of the speed trap.)
