Mark Stone's interest in music began at an early age.
At only 7 years of age he was already enrolled at the Music Academy Basle in Switzerland for Percussion lessons. Years passed and Mark's inspiration for beats and rhythm grew and grew, it was only a matter of time before he started investing in Vinyl.
Mark's addiction to the black plastic round stuff finally got underway in 1992, he soon came across artists such as Incognito, Brand New Heavies, NuYorican Soul, Dj Kenny Carpenter from Studio 54, Larry Levans Paradise Garage and the legendary Masters at Work who inspired him as a percussionist through their use of beats.
It wasn't long before Mark realised with what kind of music he could really identify himself with: House and Garage with Powerfully Soulful Vocals and impressive rhythms, in a word: US house.
Mark's first DJ gig was in the old Bell area in Basle in 1994, but it wasn't until he got the once in a lifetime chance to play a set in Downstairs, the "in" club at the time, in their house after-hour sessions that his DJ career really kicked off. All this at the tender age of sixteen.
The Downstairs gigs lead to numerous gig all around the Renowned Clubs in Basle like Bimbotown, On Line, Bizarre Club, Parisienne Clubbing Tour, Love Boat, Nautilus and Groovelift on Radio Couleur 3. He bagged his first residency in the Barock Club at the Stardust Events, where he shared the turntables with the likes of Mandrax, Boris Dlugosch, Terry Hunter or David Morales.
2004 he co-founded the UDM Show and went ON AIR for the first Time.
