I am here for Friends

About Me

I married Paul Bullock in 1998 and we have two boys, Ethan (4) and Aidan (2 1/2). Aidan has spina bifida and was 3 months premature. Because of Aidan's condition and never knowing where I'm gonna have to be or if he might suddenly have to be hospitalized, etc, I don't really have a choice but to stay home with them. We don't really sit around the house though. :)
I love music way too much, my favorite store is Borders, I love the smell of books, I love coffee, I love Twilight and I too want to be bitten by Edward - HARD - REPEATEDLY ;) , my dream default pic is me standing beside Nikki Sixx, grinning from ear to ear and giving a huge thumbs up ;), I'm constantly drawing house designs and have notebooks FULL of them, I love my friends, I am very passionate about everything, I used to be an administrative assistant, I would love to be an interior designer or a writer, one day I'm gonna have a pilots license, I can be quiet but I'm usually loud, and I'm always dancing, although I can't dance :)

It's all good news! :)

Aidan had his routine check-up with his pediatric urologist in Augusta yesterday. Last year he was having urinary tract infections every 3 weeks, and that led to his surgery in September (vesicostomy)...

I didn't call, maybe that was the right decision...

I didn't call Aidan's doctor this morning like I said I was going to because I think it's just his cold.  No more fevers and only every now and then he acts like he feels rough.  He did get sick when ...

About that doctor visit today...

I took Aidan to the doctor today for two reasons.  He had multiple brain surgeries last month and has a few sutured areas on his head.  The one on top of his head is about an inch long, and a couple o...

slight change of plans 02/13/09

Aidan is in surgery right now, or being prepped at least.  I had talked with his doctor yesterday and he was telling me that there was another option to treat hydrocephalus besides a shunt.  It's call...

The neverending soap opera of our lives

So as some of you know Aidan has been in the hospital again, for the third time in five weeks.  Of course he had his shunt revision right before Christmas and I've already blogged about that.  Everyth...

We almost lost our son.

(If you haven't read my last blog, you may want to read it first.) People have asked what happened to make us bring Aidan to the ER on Saturday.  He had been getting worse and worse, and he looke...
