Joanna Pilarska & NA DRODZE

This is an acoustic blues band, country and folk elements are present in the songs. A couple of blues standards make up the musical set, together with the songs written by the band members. Everyone is a musical individual, broader are their horizons than restricted to acoustic blues only. They have taken part in blues and rock projects, as well as poetic songs programmes. Variety of their musical interests translates into inspiring, inventive versions of standards as well as rising up brand new songs.Joanna Pilarska comes from Poznan, she is recognized in the blues world of Poland, awarded as a soloist and a band member. Her present-day award is the 3rd position in the BLUES TOP 2006 poll, signed by the Polish quarterly TWÓJ BLUES (your blues).
Arek Zawilinski lives in the South-Eastern Poland’s mountain region. He is an acoustic guitar player, frequently equipped with the slide, also plays banjo and kazoo. He had made up the blues – rock pack KROPLA ZYCIA (the drop of life). NA DRODZE... (road-bound, on the way) is an acoustic formation, most songs written by Arek. His brother, Grzegorz Zawilinski, participates both bands, too. The project NA DRODZE... is often supplied by the guitarist Grzegorz Gradalski, who also played as a company of Arek as a soloist.
Przemyslaw Cholody one of the most renowned Polish harmonica player. He leads his own band, co-operated with the top Polish blues players. His specialty is a brilliant technique of playing harmonica unisono with the guitar.
Roman Ziobro is a double-bass and an electric bass player, he plays piano as well. He is doing in theatre music, took part in the avant garde projects joining several musical styles.
