Well the joint was jumping, going round and round, and people couldn't believe the sound coming from just two guys. The MP3s on this site have no overdubs; that's just Mike (vocal,guitar,harmonica) and Bill (bass). They are popular everywhere not only for their unique sound, but for their playlist of hundreds of songs that are hits with all ages. "We love the acoustic guitar, but that doesn't mean our songs are all mellow....we like to boogie," says Mike. They come by their teamwork honestly -- at age 10, they studied together with guitar legend Ella Bramham. They entered (and won) contests, played school dances, coffeehouses and carwashes. Then Mike went to college in Boston, where he performed a solo folk act. Meanwhile, Bill played with dozens of bands, including Haldimand County Line and the Walruses. His ability to instantly pick up chord changes put him in hot demand. Meanwhile, Mike arrived back in Canada, moved to Burlington and played electric guitar for the Muddy Knuckles and other rock `n' roll bands. But he soon returned to his acoustic roots and found he was getting more gigs and having more fun. He worked mostly solo, but one night, the long lost Bill Douglas showed up at one of Mike's gigs at the Old Boathouse Cafe in Dunnville. "Do you have your bass with you?" Mike asked. Bill replied, "I can have it here in ten minutes." They proceeded to do two sets together as if the 15 years since they had seen each other was just a break in the set. Around about the fifth encore, they figured maybe they should get together again.....
