Becky Jean Williams began singing and writing songs at an early age. She graduated in creative writing from The University of Utah in 2002. Becky Jean's first recordings were with a band called Jogan Janes from 1998-2000 in Logan, UT while studying at Utah State under the late Poet Laureate, Ken Brewer. She later teamed up with her older brother John Williams and his wife Brooke as "The Green June", recording from his house in Logan and later in Irvine, California.Scott Wiley of June Audio in Provo, Utah, heard Becky Jean's song "Sister Teresa" on her brother's website and asked her to perform "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" on "A Very Singles Christmas", an album released by Halestorm Entertainment in 2002.Finn Bjarnson of Pleasant Grove heard "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and called Becky Jean in 2003 to provide sultry vocals for "Late Night Alumni", a deep house, electronic project. Along with Ryan Raddon of Kaskade and John Hancock, they eventually produced an album titled "Empty Streets" which is currently available on iTunes. They are now working on a second album. In the spring of 2006, Scott Wiley asked Becky Jean to sing on the new Deseret Book lullaby album, "A Child's Prayer". She teamed up with her brother John to record their version of "Beautiful Savior".In the fall of 2006, she combined efforts with cousin Vivian Smith who plays the cello and has a similar soothing, breathy singing voice. The two harmonize angelically. Becky Jean began writing more of her own songs with a unique and snarky indie-folk sound, endearingly referred to by friends as "Acoustic Trance". They soon brought in musician and friend, Jonathan Redd who now provides bass, vocals, the saw, ukulele, and whatever else seems to compliment the dreamy vocals and witty lyrics. They've performed some in Salt Lake and Provo and are currently recording a full-lengh album with Finn Bjarnson under the name of "The Mollies".All songs written by Becky Jean Williams except: Ribblesddale, taken from a poem by Gerard Manly Hopkins.Check out Becky Jean's latest projects:http://www.myspace.com/themolliesmusichttp://www.my
