I guess I've been around for a long time although it feels like minutes. Started playing way back when and managed to work my way through school and college playing. Influenced by everyone from go to whoa..hey I guess I'm kinda from the Woodstock generation.Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, CSNY, Jackson Browne, Bonny Raitt, John Sebastian, Martin Mull have all had a hand in it, but if i had to pick one major influence, it would have to be Jorma Kaukonen. Ever since the Airplane and the first Hot Tuna album I've been hooked. The guy can play!So I've spent a few years trying to get the fingers to work and trying to find a space that might be mine. But it's not the destination, it's the journey and I've had an amazing ride.The last few years have been focused on writing and supporting original music in my town. I've been hosting Songwriter Sessions, an originals only open mic for the just about 3 years and it's amazing. Every week, the talent keeps appearing...new stuff and great. It's inspiring. And I'm happy.
