What is up?!? I'm Chris Sumrell and I currently live in Wichita, KS. I'm married to undoubtedly the sweetest girl, or person, for that matter, that I've ever known, Jennifer . In this day and age of 'playa' shit and dysfunctional upbringings, I feel EXTREMELY lucky in that I've found one of the last GOOD, and OLD FASHIONED girls left on earth. Together we share a wonderful life, with our 3 children (well, kind of)- Sadie (MinPin)9yrs old; Peanut (Orange cat) 5yrs old, and Luvvy (GreyCat)age undetermined. I'm a transplanted Southern boy. I've lived in, seriously, just about every southern or southeastern state in the US, most recently, Charleston, SC prior to moving here to Wichita. I've been a musician (primarily a guitarist) since the age of 15. I dedicated many of my late teen years to sequestering myself away in my room to learn the guitar parts note-for-note for my favorite bands' songs. After I felt ready, I began joining bands around 19, and have played in 6 different bands, including my latest, Snapback -- Check out our page and music. ____________________________________________________________ ___

My Interests

Guitar, travelling, hearing new bands who are unafraid to be original, my dog Sadie, and my two cats, Peanut (named after 311 bassist, even though that's actually "P-Nut"), and ye royale "Luvvy"... Hanging out with my friends in my band, Snapback . Enjoy all football, basketball, and baseball (both pro and college). LOVE K-State sports. I'm a K-State Football season-ticketholder. Laughs, sarcasm, and a generous dose of shit-giving.

I'd like to meet:

Other musicians, bands, music lovers, fans of Kansas State University sports.

Music:

Everything old to new, as long as it rocks. My biggest and oldest influence is and will always be Led Zeppelin. Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and yes, Styx, as well. As far as more recent stuff, it's pretty varied. 311, At The Drive-In, System of a Down, Shudder to Think, Trivium, Shiner, Refused, Sugartooth, Houston, My Chemical Romance, Paw, Kill Creek, Urge Overkill, Cursive, the Urge, Alkaline Trio, Pantera (R.I.P. Dime), C.O.C., Down, Fu Manchu, Clutch, OLD Metallica.... I could go on for days...

Movies:

Office Space, most Quentin Tarantino directed films, Clerks, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Wild at Heart, and the cheesy-ass but great remake of Flash Gordon from 1981 (with the hilarious Queen soundtrack).

Television:

Mr. Show (now defunct- thanks HBO), The Office, Southpark, Family Guy, FUSE, any sports, the Weather Channel (even though Meteorology is becoming a DEAD art), Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Books:

Anything in braille...

Heroes:

My wife, for her incessant giving to others, and her courage during her mother's bout with cancer. My parents, for raising me right.
