Hi Im mike olson,I was born in bellview washington in 1966 I grew up all over the north west, anywhere up in down I5 or 405 from portland to seattle to missoula (mont) to alaska, and lived in over 50 diffrent places(It was kinda cool).I first started playing music when I was 13 years old living in auburen washington, wrighting music and songs from a guitar I used to take from my sisters room when she was'nt home, then I would polish it back up and return it to her room before she came home(she caught me alot) my sister never really played the guitar,it was more art for her.I moved to alaska in 1984 when I was 18 years old, played in a couple of little bands just for fun,I started getting more and more into it just in the last couple of years, going to open mics, doing alot of kariokie, getting used to singing in front of people, and started playing some little one man show in the valley, and sittin in with some bands like the ken peltier band (alaska best country band)keith junot's band(pure country)keith is alaska's best fiddle player. merel kid (honky tonk attitude)then later frank Iarossi and (the good life) to brook faulk and the blue dog band(she's great)brooks is a up and coming star, she one to watch for,not only dose she have a great voice, she gives a 110% on stage(lov ya brook)I've also jammed with the matt hammer's band (another great sounding band).I joined a band in the valley, with a couple of guy's (randy) on the harp, tom emblem (a.k.a.tre) on drums, and mando, and johnny wright on bass, lead guitar, what ever, he can play anything (he's to cool) but we had diffrent ideas so we split after a couple of six or so gigs, tom and I formed a band with butch porter(awsume lead guitar player) then I reformed the band again, and now play with alison king (great lady and bass player) steve quirk (lead guitar) and terry kelly (drummer) a bunch of real nice people that I'm proud to play with.Im in the studio now recording my first cd with Stu schulman(alaska best guitar player) but stu is a real humble man,he can play the bass real well as well as the key board, dobro and a awsume steel guitar player.I am very lucky to be recording with stu and his years of exp.(thanks Stu) thats where I am now, just livin the dream my brothers and sisters.Thanx for lookin at the bio,see ya in the lime light. mike olson and the mob.
