In the rare free time that I have, concerts have to be my #1 favorite escape from the life of a mom of three. Anything but country, gospel and rap, and I'm there. Love living in Austin as nothing beats SXSW! 100's of bands a night, I'm in heaven! Love jazzercise, tennis, scrapbooking, and unfortunately (for our wallet) shopping. Shoes are my problem.
I really wanted to meet Ian Copeland. What an amazing life he led, and seemed to be such a kind man. Made it too late, with a visit to Beverly Hills in Nov. After a phone call from him when my husband and son were visiting, felt I still had to make the trek, drink a rum & coke, and wallow in the Police memorabilia. No burning desire to meet anyone in particular. I meet such wonderful people via our moves, concerts, travels, my daily routine. OK, those that know me probably think I want to meet Sting. Not so... just want a picture taken with him for my scrapbook! (a good one, mind you!) I'm afraid if I meet him, he'll be knocked off that pedestal I have had him on for wayyyyy too many years!
Check this out--- it's a start! Most of my favorites are in here somewhere.
I'm such a musical queen. Go figure. I could watch these over and over again and not be bored... "The Sound of Music", "Grease", "Bye, Bye, Birdie", "The Wizard of Oz", "Tommy, Sgt Peppers", "Nightmare Before Christmas", and my all time favorite, the orginial "Willie Wonka". Also really enjoy watching concert DVD's of my favorite bands. Right now Stewart Copeland's "Everyone Stares" is my fav. Not into action flicks and sci fi. As much as I love Sting, I have yet to make it through "Dune" even with the little codpiece he wears!
Craig Ferguson, Flight of the Conchords, Ellen, Lost, 24. I also do a lot of flipping around the music channels late at night.
Love to read, but my time is in bed. My husband doesn't like the light on at night, so that blows a lot of reading time. In the summer I read more often, mainly medical/mystery/fiction. I've been reading lots of health related books lately. I often read too many books at once, have a few going right now.
My husband for putting up w/my scattered brain. I mean well, but just can't do it all, guess that would include my friends as well. At least they understand and patiently wait!My kids for being so amazing and making me laugh (and cry) on a daily basis. My parents for always being there. They moved here recently to be involved in the grandkids' lives, which is a rare, but important thing these days. Now, my mom has health issues, so I'm glad they're here.My sister for having dreams when she was growing up, and actually realizing them.
