The three members of BLAZED met each other while attending middle school in 1998. The trio meshed and began playing talent shows at school and local churches. Each member of Blazed brings their own flavor to the group, as well as their own distinct personalities. Josh brings a keen, strong sound that grabs the listeners attention. Wayne brings a smoothed-out, sensual sound. Nate brings old school flavor with a spiritual feel. Blended together, their voices perfectly complement each other to create one of the most complete groups in R&B music today.
But thats not all. The members of BLAZED write all of their own music, allowing them to create their own sound and style like no other. The story of BLAZED is just as compelling as the music itself. Though they are young men, their music reflects on all walks of life. Age aint nothing but a number, and their music is a testament to the situations they have encountered throughout their lives.
The groups musical influences range from The Winans to 112, Commisioned, Boyz II Men, Playa, and artists like R. Kelly. BLAZED have already performed at a number of high profile events, such as The Miss USA Pageant in 2002 and the Hennessy Privilege Tour alongside Kelly Price, Dave Hollister, Glenn Lewis, and Black Coffey in 2003. Most recently, BLAZED nabbed the title of Amateur Night Winner three times at The World Famous Apollo between 2004 and 2005.
Equally rooted in gospel, soul, and hip-hop, the trios talent is undeniable. Their passion for the craft assures that these young men will be a force to be reckoned with.
