Earlier titles like „Gleichschritt“ (Marching in Step) (Maxi CD, released 1992 with EMI / Electrola) or „Achterbahn fahr’n“ (Going by Roller Coaster) (LP/CD released 1996 with Vivian / BMG / Ariola were related to the Rock/Pop-genre and released under the name “Andreas Buttler” At that time and due to political reasons the Single „Gleichschritt“ (Marching in step) was boycotted by TV- and Radio-Media – just after it had reached position nr.112 on the Charts: German military forces were meant to enter Iraq and Andreas Buttler was asked to change a few lines of his lyrics – which, of course, he refused to do! Amongst other things Andreas Buttler has made himself a name as an actor: For the role of Tommy in the ZDF TV movie „Der Druecker“ („The pusher“) in which he co-acted with celebrities like Heinz Hoenig, Andreas Buttler, in 1987 was awarded the Adolf-Grimme-Award. This led to further work as an actor. Amongst others, Andreas stood in front of the camera together with well known Franka Potente, in the drama “Downhill City”. More than 1 faceLife offers so many possibilities, it has so many facets and an infinite band width. Good and bad, love and hate. These are aspects of life, difficult to describe as themselves unless including the respective opposite too. This is why one finds on this new album “More than 1 face” not only tender and emotional songs but also encounters forceful and enraged, partly fearful, contents. The song “More than 1 face” reflects the sound of the 12 new songs of Andreas Buttler’s (Stimmkraft) new album, which he sings in German. It describes very precisely what one hears on the new album: Hard guitar riffs mixed with dance-elements and a style of singing which descends to the depths of one's soul. But then you’ll find melodious ballads full of emotion which make you feel that you are listening to quite a different singer. This is why such an album was made - to allow a wider spectrum of interpretations - an album which would be difficult to "label" as belonging in only one category.Except for the cover-song “ Sexy ”, from Marius Müller-Westernhagen, all lyrics and compositions are by Andreas Buttler. Andreas produced , performed, arranged and mixed them – without any help from other musicians. And all this within 8 months! The titles “ Sexy ” and “ Steh auf ” (Get up) were recorded together with his friend and producer Rudy Kronenberger, Ex-Stormwind & Energy (he produced Doro, Headhunter, Dennie Christian, Warrant and many others) in his Crownhill-Studio in Oberhausen.
