Synyster Gates Born Brian Elwin Haner Jr. on July 7, 1981 to Brian Haner Sr. and Jan Gera. His parents got divorced and both re-married. Brians step-mother is Suzy Haner. He has a brother, Brent, step-brother Johnny Gera and a half-sister, McKenna. He is the lead guitarist and backing vocals for the band. He has his nose and both ears pierced. Synyster has been dating Valary's older twin sister, Michelle DiBenedetto , for over three years. Syn also has a clothing line called Syn Gates Clothing (links below).

Synyster attended Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach and Mayfair High School in Lakewood as a teenager. Then he was a part of the GIT program at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, studying jazz guitar. His father, Brain Sr., is also a musician.
Synyster joined the band when he was eighteen at the end of 1999, right before the recording of the bands first album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. He played piano on the songs "Beast and the Harlot" and "Sidewinder". His name came randomly on a drunken drive with The Rev. His exact words were, "I am Synyster Gates and I am fucking awesome!".
He also has a side-project with The Rev called Pinkly Smooth. Which consists of mostly goblin music. His infulences include; Django Reinhardt, Adam Aparicio, Dimebag Darrell, Slash and Roddy.
SYN GATES CLOTHING: WEBSTORE | MYSPACE
M. Shadows Born Matthew Charles Sanders on July 31, 1981 to Gary and Kim Sanders. He has a younger sister, Amy. He is the vocals for the band. Shadows has his lip and both ears pierced. He has been engaged since fall (August/Octoberish) '07 to long time girlfriend Valary DiBenedetto , whom he has been with since sixth grade. (You have to admit that is admirable and incredible to still be together that long.) Congratulations to them!

Before Avenged Sevenfold he was in a band called Successful Failure with Zacky. While he was in this band he wrote the song "Streets", which later was recorded by Avenged Sevenfold. This song is found on their first album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. Matt has a strong support for the troops serving the United States, having very close friends who are currently in service. The song "M.I.A." was written in tribute to those friends.
His name came from his darker days at school hence "Shadows" but he also wanted to incorporate his name into his stage name. So Matt was shortened to M. So now he is M. Shadows. Some of his influences include; Guns N Roses, Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera. Philip Anselmo of Pantera is his screaming inspiration.
Zacky Vengeance Born Zackary James Baker on December 11, 1981. He has a younger brother, Matt and a sister, Zina. His brother is also in a band, The Dear and Departed . He is the rhythm guitarist and backing vocals for the band. Zacky has his septum, lip and both ears pierced. He is currently dating Gena Paulhus , whom he met because she is his hairstylist. He also has a clothing line called Zacky V. Presents...(links below).

Before Avenged Sevenfold he played in a punk band called MPA, which stood for Mad Porno Action. He stated that they were not successful and was arrested after their concert for supposedly "stealing all the mics." He and M. Shadows formed Avenged Sevenfold. His name, Zacky Vengeance, basicly shows that he had grudges against many people who doubted his success. (I guess he showed them!) He is the one who came up with the acronym "A7X". The first guitar he learned to play on was his dad's, it was actually a right-handed guitar that he played upside-down since he is left-handed. Zacky has played guitar since he was around thirteen and is self-taught.
He has said that there are many bands that infuence him. "I still love the heavy bands. I love Danny Elfman and Elvis Costello. It's all over the place. I think that's the best way to be." Zacky has been sponsored by Schecter Guitar Research since 2004 and has custom S-1 models out. Him and Synyster are currently featured artists on the company's website.
ZACKY V. PRESENTS...: WEBSTORE | MYSPACE
Johnny Christ Born Jonathan Lewis Seward on November 18, 1984. He has an older brother, which I don't know his name yet but i'll find it. He is bass and backing vocals for the band. Johnny has his nose and ears pierced. He is currently dating Lacey Franklin .

He is the third bassist for Avenged Sevenfold. Before him were Dameon Ash and Justin Sane. He dropped out of Marina High School before his senior year to tour with Avenged Sevenfold. The first album he worked on with the band was their second album, Waking the Fallen.
Zacky came up with the name 'Johnny Christ', he said "It sounded kind of ballsy and it would piss some people off....so everyone's going to hate that." Johnny is completely self-taught, he's never taken a guitar lesson. He is the youngest member of Avenged Sevenfold and the younger brother of a former schoolmate of Synyster Gates and The Rev. The Rev picked on him alot in kindergarten and the other members often refer to him as their "bitch"! He was recruited into the band by Zacky's little brother, Matt.
The Rev Born James "Jimmy" Owen Sullivan on February 10, 1981. He has no siblings! He is the drummer and backing vocals for the band. The Rev has his lip and cartilage pierced. He is currently engaged to Leana Silver .

At the age of ten, he got his very own drum set. He attended a Catholic school with Matt and was expelled in the second grade. (That's funny!) The Rev was also expelled from Huntington Beach High School and was then expelled from the reform school resulting in his dropping out. He is the oldest member of the band. He has a side project, Pinkly Smooth, with Brian, which is currently disbanded, as Brian and Jimmy wanted to concentrate on Avenged Sevenfold. His stage name for the band is 'Rat Head'. Before Avenged Sevenfold he was the drummer for Suburban Legends, along with former Avenged Sevenfold bassist Justin Sane and also took part in the band Ballistico as their guitarist and vocalist.
His name (The Reverend Tholomew Plague) was just choosen randomly. The Rev just became his shortened version of that. He was known for wearing eccentric outfits such as crazy colored kimonos or bath robe, baggy shorts and flourescent socks. (That's fucking hilarious!) You can hear him sing and scream his way through many songs on their new self-titled album, Avenged Sevenfold. He wrote quite a few songs on the new album including: "A Little Piece of Heaven", "Brompton Cocktail", "Afterlife" and "Almost Easy". He also sings in "Critical Acclaim", "Scream" and "Lost". His influences include; Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Dave Lambardo and Paul Bostaph of Slayer and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater.

situation, in hopes of finding out who this person is, for further
investigation. People are being sent emails, printing them out, and
bringing them to the box office for entry. THIS IS A SCAM.
Here is what the letter says:

Your name will be on the will call list plus one guest.
Please be sure to bring a print out of the email and your photo ID when
picking up your tickets.
Will Call will be open one hour prior to showtime.
