Libation's a cool place Tuesdays. I'm also at Art Students League during the days floatin around and or the Met. I'm a traditional painter so you can check out my website at WWW.PETERLEEDS.ORG... I also work out way too much.. But I love pushing myself to that high point... I've been getting into Yoga.. It's cool. But I'm still a big weightlifter doing yoga. I feel like an idiot but tryin it anyway. I can't wait to bike again when the weather's nice. Or goin gallery hoppin..I surf, swim, bike, run, (triathete) baseball, football, tennis, racketball, basketball, volleyball, hike, etc., etc.. My classics are public enemy, Acdc, pearl jam, metallica, and movie soundtracks. I do jump around and never discriminate... I mostly love live music though. I'll see anyone live...
Movies:
I watch a movie a day. The ones that are in my collection are 300, WEDDING CRASHERS (motorboat?... you play motorboat?...you motorboatin son of a bitch...) NATURAL BORN KILLERS, SIN CITY (cool effects and color-good storyline) VANILLA SKY, GREAT EXPECTATIONS, MEMENTO, 12 MONKEYS, THE FISHER KING, MAGNOLIA, LORD OF THE RINGS (cartoon version from the 70's), WALKING WITH... Collection (bbc), CAST AWAY..(I love the sound of the ocean..) and of course FIGHT CLUB.
Television:
YANKEES!!!! RANGERS!!!!or....I stick to movies. I'll catch a little of Judge Judy to laugh at the stupidity of the common man. The Real world-original reality T.V- That's about it.. Maybe a Yankee or Ranger game in HD once in a while... I did rent 'lost' on dvd & it's pretty cool.
Books:
Spanish Dictionary- very useful for work, The man who planted trees; the road less traveled; anything by Chuck Palahniuk; Dry by Augusten Burroughs; and Generation Kill by Evan Wright but that's as political as I get. A good one I read when it first came out and I'm re-reading is 'a million little pieces'. It's too bad Oprah blew it up 4 me and ruined any original idea. It's overboard but a good read. I'm in the middle of 'Rust and Bone' by Craig Davidson. Great.. Great.. Book. a bunch of short stories. Give it a read. Let's see....classics... Catcher in the rye... Cats cradle... for whom the bell tolls...any poetry by Yeats.(I love Irish).... The best art history book I read is 'M- The man who became Caravaggio' by Peter Robb. So much more.....
Heroes:
Darwin w/ that whole theory he came up with, Da Vinci, Salvador Dali, Winnie the Pooh and his Tao energy, Arthur Guiness, Mr. Jameson, Thomas Eakins, Tyler Durden and his freedom to 'just let go', Wislow Homer, & Mr. Incredible.
