Hello, I'm SoLitH and I live in antwerp. I'm very interested in every kind of music and especially acides und tekno (for the party and the music creation) and I'm also a big johnnie cash fan :p :).
I'm a co organisator of the acid in the woods crew and I love to freak with some oldschool analog machinery... the real sound... from the real machines... It's the sound itself that is the most important in music... or better, without something that sounds good in the ears you can't begin... The timbre, color of the sound gives you the emotions. (That's why jimi hendrix is the man ;) )I'm NOT into happy shit! music is about creating emotions, and the strongest emotions you can feel are NOT just "the happy" ones in my opinion, we can feel a lot more then "just happy", or just "dark"... the strongest emotions are emotions that are so strong that you can't describe them... also,... it's the whole concept that makes the music and not just the beats or something... (every part of music is something on his own, we devide it in styles to promote it better (wich is needed for people that don't know some artists/concepts). But a song is not good cause it's hardcore, or cause it's breakcore, and almost NEVER cause it's hard :) !... So throw away things like for example Hardcore mix from a well known song that every body already knows, or with samples in it that are known by the people...!!!!!!!!!!You have to make the music by yourself, put your own emotions in it and your own feelings... so do not use the emotions, feelings created by others to promote yourself because they sound well known... then you are not making music anymore!!!!!!!! And that's also a cool comparison (but maybe we are going to deep here :)) between digital and anlog sound generation :). Two analog circuits to create music with the same melody, pattern... ... will NEVER sound the same :) it's something that goes along straight with the artists heart :), something from him, and nobody is able to copy this sound exactly the same ;). And believe me or not, that and more important the analog soundquality itself was the reason why it took so long until I bought my first synth's which did digital signal processing too :). And yes, you are right, these times people need that digital signal processing with all his possibilities to keep it fun and spare some money... But it isn't completely the right way in my opinion :) (in theory) but I can't live without it anymore, like al the others :) we are hooked :p, and it's to late to do something about it cause then we don't enjoy music anymore :)... blablabla :)Further I like to collect and spin some records on parties and with friends. I'm interested in music since I was a little kid. It went from rockabily to hiphop to drum n bass (then I began to spin and collect records) to acid to hardcore to acid to hardtek to acid to tekno to acid to tekno und acid... :) and now I'm old and wise enough to appreciate more than just 1 style at a time :).I'm 21 years old and I'm studying for sound ingeneer at RITS in brussels. Further I like doing sports and travelling, teknivals, and much more...More to be come soon :) first have to live the other part of my live :)----------------------------------------------------------
